The Worst is Our Best

We are witnessing some incredible natural disasters. Harvey, Irma and the Mexican earthquakes have literally rocked our world and devastated lives for years to come.
We are also witnessing some of the best of we have to offer as people. Volunteers rise up to help those who must face the challenge swept to their front door.
I am always encouraged by the way people respond to help and the awe-inspiring way we will reach out and support one another during times like this. These acts and these responses are the best of of us. We are more human and more awesome during these awful times.
We want to be the best, but we would never wish the worst simply to bring out our best, would we?
What if there was a way to be our best without having to endure the worst?
